Ben bought an old bicycle for ₹5200 and spent ₹800 on its repairs. If he sells the bicycle for ₹8000, his gain per cent is:
Total Cost price(CP) of the bicycle = Cost price+ Price on repair
= ₹5200 + ₹800 = ₹6000
Selling Price(SP) of the bicycle = ₹8000
Gain = SP - CP = ₹8000 - ₹6000 = ₹2000
Gain percent = (Gain/CP) x 100 = (2000/6000) x 100 = 33.33%
