The Battle of Chausa took place between Mughal Emperor Humayun and Sher Shah Suri on June 26,1539. Sher Shah Suri defeated the Mughal emperor Humayun and assumed the royal title of Farid al-Din Sher Shah. After consolidating their forces for a year, the armies met once again at the battle of Kannauj in May 1940. Sher Shah Suri defeated Humayun and became the master of Agra and Delhi.
