Total money he spent $=(120\times 80)+(280+0.4)\times (120+72)$

$=10000$

Let the selling price of paper per ream is $x$ then total $S.P.=120x$

If he wants to have a gain of $8\%$.

Then by using the formula $P\%=\frac{S.P.-C.P.}{C.P.}\times 100$

$8=\frac{120x-10000}{10000}\times 100$

$\Rightarrow 120x=1.08\times 10000$

$\Rightarrow x=90$

Therefore, selling price per ream is Rs. $90$.
