Bharath is a young farmer. He plants a row of wheat and a row of soybean alternately. What kind of cropping pattern is he adopting?
Row intercropping
A cropping pattern where two different crop plants are planted in alternate rows is called intercropping. The advantages of such a pattern are that we get a variety of crops from the same land so even if one crop fails, the others make up for it. It saves the farmer a lot of effort and time as harvesting both the crops simultaneously is easier.
