Bholu was chased by a dog and as a result, he started running with all his effort. What kind of respiration did he do?
Anaerobic respiration
Anaerobic respiration is performed when a burst of energy is required in short time. The muscles would not have enough oxygen to meet the requirements and so will rely on anaerobic respiration to meet the rest of energy demand. When Bholu would run away from the dog, his legs would need a tremendous amount of energy in a short time. His body would not have the time to generate so much energy by relying on aerobic respiration alone. Thus, to sprint really fast Bholu would have performed anaerobic respiration.
Remember that anaerobic respiration will provide a burst of energy but only for a short while. Anaerobic respiration is also highly inefficient making it unsuitable for meeting normal energy needs.
