Solution

The correct option is C 11th order minima of λ1, will coincide with 8th order minima of λ2.
Condition for overlapping of maxima,

n1λ1Dd=n2λ2Dd

n1n2=λ2λ1=75,1410.......=7x5x

For, x=2n1=14 and n2=10

14th order maxima of λ1, will coincide with 10th order maxima of λ2.

Condition for overlapping of minima,

(2n11)λ1D2d=(2n11)λ1D2d

2n112n21=λ2λ1=75,1410.....=7y5y

For y=3n1=11 and n2=8

11th order minima of λ1, will coincide with 8th order minima of λ2.

Hence, option (A) and (C) is correct.
