Binary fission in amoeba and budding in yeast are identical in the mechanism. But the basic difference is ……………………………………….
daughter cells in budding are smaller than those in fission
Budding in yeast starts with a small outgrowth on cell surface of yeast cell. This is followed by separation of daughter buds. The mechanism of division in binary fission and budding is same but the daughter cells produced in yeast budding are smaller compared to binary fission fragments or cells.
