True
Biogas plants are used to convert biodegradable waste matter into compost in the absence of oxygen by a process known as anaerobic digestion. Anaerobic microorganisms digest the biomass in closed chambers or airtight chambers and the decomposition process produces gases like Methane, Carbon dioxide, Hydrogen etc. Raw materials like the green waste, food waste, agricultural waste etc can be fed to these plants.
