Question

Birds fly in the air. Why the earth's gravitational force pull them?

Open in App
Solution

The gravitational force is acting on the birds which is equal to the weight of the birds in the downward direction.

As the bird flies , it strikes the air with its wings in the downward direction. According to the 3rd law of motion air also strikes the wings in opposite direction. The weight of the bird is balanced by the resultant force in the upward direction.
