The correct option is A Plague
Black death brought the entire European continent to a standstill for nearly 8 years between 1346-1353. People started to develop strange black boils in their armpits and groin areas. This infection started with a small population living in unkempt conditions and later took the form of an epidemic spreading throughout the continent of Europe. The black boils or swellings were called buboes, hence the epidemic was bubonic plague caused by bacterium Yersinia pestis. By 1353, plague had wiped out nearly 60 % of Europe’s population, that is close to 80 million people.
