Question

Blanced chemical equation for the reaction

Aluminium chloride + Ammonium hydroxide -- Aluminium hydroxide +Ammonium chloride

Open in App
Solution

AlCl3 + NH4OH → Al(OH)3 + NH4Cl To balance this count the number of Different atoms on the Right hand side and left hand side

So On the Left
Al = 1
Cl = 3
N = 1
H = 5
O = 1
And on the Right side
Al = 1
Cl = 1
N = 1
H = 3+4 = 7
O = 3

So
Multiplied 3 in front of NH4Cl and 3 in front of NH4OH And Count and See So that you can see that No of Atoms on
LHS = RHS

So balanced Chemical Equation

AlCl3 + 3NH4OH → Al(OH)3 + 3NH4Cl
