Solution

GLOMERULUS: The Glomerulus is the filtering unit of the excretory organ and consists of a network of capillaries and extremely differentiated animal tissue cells, the podocytes, that regulate selective filtration of blood into AN ultrafiltrate that may become ultimately an excretory product.

  1. The afferent arteriole breaks into many capillaries forming a knot-like mass called a glomerulus, which fits closely inside the Bowman's capsule.
  2. The capillaries forming the glomerulus reunite together and emerge out from the Bowman's capsule forming an efferent arteriole, carrying blood away from the glomerulus.
  3. And so the given statement “Blood enters and leaves the glomerulus through different arterioles” is true.
