Solution

The correct option is C arteries
Capillaries are thin walled blood vessels which help in the exchange of materials at the cells of the body tissues. These are present in the organs and they have very low diameter. They form the connections between the arteries and veins at the organs.
Veins carry blood towards the heart. They are deep red or blue in color and carry deoxygenated blood from different parts of the body.
Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart towards various parts of the body. They are pink or bright red in color. Blood flows with a high pressure and speed inside the arteries.
Blood pressure is calculated only inside the arteries because the pressure in the arteries is much higher than in the veins. It is due to receiving blood from the heart after contraction and also due to their contractile capacity.
