Solution

The correct option is A Smaller bakery
Let the profit from the smaller bakery be "P".

Option 1:Small Bakery

Daily profit = P

Bob is the sole owner of the smaller bakery

Number of owners=1

Profit earned by each owner=P1=P

Option 2:Large Bakery

Daily profit of the larger bakery is thrice that of the smaller bakery

Daily profit=3×P

Bob runs the larger bakery in equal partnership with three other bakers.

Number of owners=1+3=4

Profit earned by each owner=3×P4 =34×P

When a number or fraction is multiplied by a fraction less than 1, then the resulting product will also be less than 1.

(34×P)<P

Bob would earn more profit running a smaller bakery by himself.
