Solution

A body of mass 3 kg is dropped from the height of 1m.

So, potential energy of the body = mgh
U = (3 × 10 × 1) J
U = 30 J.

When the body touches the ground, its potential energy becomes zero and because of the conservation of energy, the potential energy gets converted into kinetic energy.

So, the kinetic energy of the object at the ground = potential energy of the body at 1m = 30 J.
Therefore, the kinetic energy of the body will be 30 J when it touches the ground.
