Question

Bohr's model introduced the concept of quantization of ________

Open in App
Solution

Bohr's atomic model:

  1. According to Bohr's model as long as the electron remains in a particular orbit it does not lose or gain energy.
  2. This means that the energy of the electron in a particular orbit remains constant and only those orbits are permitted in which the angular momentum of the electron is a whole number multiple of h2π, where h is Planck's constant.

Hence, Bohr's model introduced the concept of quantization of angular momentum and energy.
