Bond energy of C - H bond =3604=90 kJ/mol

Bond energy of ethane, 1B.E(CC)+6B.E.(CH)=620 kJ/mol
B.E(CC)+6×90=620B.E(CC)+540=620B.E(CC)=620540B.E(CC)=80 kJmol1
