Solution

The correct option is C Dr Rajendra Prasad
Bose was re-elected as the President and his task was to form a Congress Working Committee. Leaders like G.B. Pant and Sardar Patel urged Bose to constitute the working committee, with members approved by Gandhiji, but Gandhiji refused to suggest any name. Tensions increased between Bose and Mahatma Gandhi which led to Bose resigning on 29 April 1939. Dr Rajendra Prasad was elected as the next President of the Congress.
