Both Sarika and Mohan were asked to make a salt solution. Sarika was given a teaspoonful of salt and half a glass of water, whereas Mohan was given twenty teaspoons full of salt and half a glass of water. 1) How would they make salt solutions?.2) Who would be able to prepare a saturated solution?

  • A salt solution is formed by combining salt and water and stirring continuously.

(1) Formation of salt solution

  • Sarika and Mohan both will mix the salt with water by stirring it continuously.
  • Formation of salt solution will take place.

(2) Saturated solution

  • A saturated solution is one that contains the maximum amount of solute capable of being dissolved,
  • With more salt added, Mohan's solution will reach saturation. Some salt will not be dissolved.
