Question

Both wind and water pollinated flowers are not very colourful and do not produce nectar. What would be the reason for this?

Solution

Pollination is the process in which the transfer of pollen grains occurs from the anther to stigma.

In order to attract the insects and promote pollination, the flowers have different colors and nectar. But in wind and water pollinated plants, this is not required.
