Open in App
Solution

In the case of amides (RCONH2) , the amine group which is bonded with a carbonyl group and due to the high electronegtivity of oxygen, NH2 group involve in resonance which in turn make it less basic or more acidic, while in amines(RNH2), nitrogen has a lone pair of electrons which accept protons making it more basic. Hence, amides are more acidic than amines.
