Governor of the States of India acts as a Nominal Head just like the President of India act at Union Level.
- Governor appionts the chief minister of a state who enjoys the State Legislative Assembly.
- He also appoints the other members of Council of Ministers and distribute portfolios to them.
-Governor also appoints the Judges of the District Court and he also advices President in appointment of Judges of High Court.
- Governor is also chancellor of most of the Universities in the State.
-Governor has the power to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly .
