Solution

Answer :

Given : Jeevarshan had two sticks of length 6 cm and 8 cm respectively.

To find smallest stick that can be measured using each of the sticks independently , We find LCM of 6 and 8

6 = 2 × 3
And
8 = 2 × 2 × 2
So,

LCM ( 6 and 8 ) = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 24

So,

Smallest stick that can be measured using each of the sticks independently = 24 cm ( Ans )
