Ear ossicles:

  3. They transmit the sound vibrations to the inner ear.
  4. Malleus the largest part of the ear ossicle gets vibrations from the ear drum and then transfers them to the incus.
  5. Then incus is further transmitted to the stapes which are present in the oval-shaped window.
  6. Stapes further send these vibrations to the cochlear part of the inner ear and then to the auditory nerves in the brain where it recognizes the sound.

Final answer: The function of the ear ossicles is to transmit the sound vibrations from the external ear to the cochlea.
