Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain. It is divided into two halves – right and left cerebral hemispheres.
Each hemisphere has outer folds with ridges and grooves. The outer portion is called gray matter and the inner portion is called white matter. Gray matter is made up of cell bodies of neurons and white matter is made of axons.
Cerebrum controls all the voluntary actions. It is the seat of intelligence, will power and consciousness.
