Briefly explain how monsoon is formed in our country.

It is in the months of May, June, and July that the sun rays fall most vertically above our country. The atmospheric air gets heated up and expands at that time. During this time, water vapour-laden winds from the high pressure areas in the Indian Ocean blow toward India. This causes monsoon rain. Sudden expansions and contractions in the air cause strong winds that may result in a cyclone during the monsoon.
