The intensity of light:- During the day, the stomata are open to facilitate the inward diffusion of $C O_{2}$ for photosynthesis. At night they are closed. Therefore, more transpiration occurs during the day. When it is cloudy during the day, the stomata are partially closed and transpiration is reduced.
