  • Metropolitan cities- the population is between 10,00,000 to 50,00,000 and the number of economic activities is more than in cities. Example Madurai
  • Megacityty- the population is more than 50,00,000. Example greater Chennai.
  • Conurbation- region comprising of a number of cities, large towns and other urban areas. Example Delhi.
