Briefly write about infectious and non-infectious diseases along with examples.

Infectious diseases are those which are caused by pathogenic microorganisms like virus, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa. These diseases can be communicable or non-communicable. They are transmitted by animals, humans, or insects.
Non-infectious diseases are generally caused due to internal factors, genetic abnormalities, etc.
A healthy person does not acquire a disease just by exposure to pathogens. The pathogens are able to infect us due to the poor functioning of our immune system. The properly nourished body has a stronger immune system that can fight pathogens in a better manner and could prevent them from infecting us.
