Brush border is a characteristic of
Proximal convoluted tubule
Epithelial cells in the proximal convoluted tubule (PCT) reabsorb components of the glomerular filtrate that have nutritional significance. Substances reabsorbed by the PCT include glucose, ions, amino acids, etc. To facilitate absorption, these cells have a brush border which increases the surface area by 30-40 fold, thereby increasing absorption.
