Question

Bryophytes are not grown in pots. Why?

Open in App
Solution

Bryophytes are the plants which grow in the moist environment. They have root-like rhizoids which help to attach the plant to the soil. These plants produce spores which develop and grow near to each other. They grow as mass of the plant like the grasses in the lawn. They can cover the entire land surface. This is the reason the plants cannot be grown in pots. In the small pots, the growth of these plants will be limited to a small space.
