Buoyant force =
Actual weight - Apparent weight
When a body is immersed in a liquid, the following two forces act on it :
(1) The weight of the body W acting vertically downwards.
(2) The buoyant force of the liquid FB acting vertically upwards.
Apparent weight = Actual weight of the body - buoyant force
Buoyant force = Actual weight of the body - Apparent weight
