Burning of wood is a physical or chemical change. Why?

Dear student, Burning of wood is a chemical change, because when a wood is burnt then it produces many by products mainly Carbon Dioxide(CO2)and Water vapours which escape in the environment. As there is formation of new substances or compounds and it is irreversible, it will be considered as a chemical change. regards
