Question

By a bullet fire by a gun is more dangerous than a bullet fire with medium speed?

Open in App
Solution

According to Newton's third law, when we fire a bullet we get a recoil of the gun due to action-reaction.
And, the momentum of recoil = the momentum of fired bullet =mass×velocity=mv
So, from here it is quite clear that the velocity of the fired bullet more will be the momentum results in more dangerous recoil.
Force=Change in momentumtime
If change in the momentum is large then value of force will be large.
Therefore, bullet fire by a gun is more dangerous than bullet fire with medium speed.
