By selling 12 oranges for a rupee, a man loses 20%. How many for a rupee should he sell to get a gain of 20%?
S.P. of one orange =rs.112, Loss =20/
∴C.P.=112×100(100−20)=10012×80=548
If Gain =20%, then
S.P. = 548+20% of 548
548+20100×548=648=rs.18 per orange
i.e., the man should sell 8 oranges for a rupee.
