Let Cost Price is Rs. $x$,
Therefore, loss = $x$ % of Rs. $x$ = Rs. $\frac{x^2}{100}$
Selling Price = Cost Price -Loss
$16=x-\frac{x^2}{100}$

$x^2-100x+1600=0$

$x=\frac{100\pm \sqrt{10000-6400}}{2}$

= $\frac{100\pm 60}{2}$

= $80,20$
Hence, Cost price is Rs. $20$ or Rs. $80$.
But According to the given condition Cost price is divisible by 8.
