Solution

Dear Student,

Sugar solution is not a "pure substance" having fixed combination. A solution means a mixture. A solution is a uniform mixture of solute and solvent. A solution is not a compound. Sugar solution means a mixture of sugar (sucrose) and water (normally, that's what it means in general terms, although many solvents are there which can dissolve sucrose).

Air is not a compound/ element. It is a mixture of N2, O2, CO2, H2, H2O (vapour), Ar and may more gases.
