Question

By what number should we multiply-1/6 so that the product maybe -23/9 ?

Open in App
Solution

here the denominator is 6 which should be changed to 9.
so by dividing 6 by 2 and multiplying the answer with 3 will give you 9.
That is we need to multiply 1/6 with 2/3.
then we will get 1/9.
to change 1/9 to 23/9 just multiply with 23.
So (2*23)/46=46/3 is the number which should be multiplied with 1/6 to make 23/9.
