Solution

Vascular tissues:

The vascular tissues are specialized tissues that are present in vascular plants. They help in the process of transporting water, minerals, and food. These tissues are classified into two types: Xylem and Phloem.

  1. Water and dissolved mineral ions are transported from the roots to the shoot through xylem tissue.
  2. Food molecules, primarily Sucrose, are transported via Phloem tissue to the other regions of the plant body.
  3. The food is translocated in plants by phloem tissue.
