Find the ratio of the following:

Ratios are used to compare quantities which have same units

Since units of the given numbers are the same (in km), hence we can find the ratio.

Ratio of $33 k m$ to $121 k m =$ $\frac{33}{121}$

$= \frac{33 \div 11}{121 \div 11} = \frac{3}{11}$ $= 3 : 11$
[Dividing numerator and denominator by HCF of $33$ and $121$ i.e. $11$ ]
