Question 2 (c)
State for the following whether it is due to evaporation or condensation:
Fog appearing on a cold winter morning.
Fog appearing on a cold winter morning is due to the process known as condensation.
In winter, the water vapour present in the air comes in contact with a cold surface. It condenses to form tiny droplets of water which stay suspended in the air and results in the formation of fog. This process of conversion of water from its vapour or gaseous form (state) into liquid form (state) is known as condensation.
