Solution

Dear student
(i) Calcium is a metal , it has two electrons in its outermost shell which it can loose easily.
(ii) K is placed before Ca in the same period (fourth period),as the no. of proton will increase then radius will decrease along a period, the atomic radius of calcium is smaller than that. of potassium.
(iii) The formula of its oxide is CaO, because the valency of calcium as well as that of oxygen is 2.
