Question

Calculate the amount of glucose required to prepare 250 grams of 5% solution of glucose by mass.

Open in App
Solution

given

mass of solution- 250g

percentage by mass of glucose-5%

as we know ,

concentration - (mass of solute / mass of solution)*100

5% = (mass of glucose/250)*100

(5*250)/100 = mass of glucose

so,

mass of glucose = 12.5 g
