Power of bulb $= 100 W$
Power of fan $= 60 W$
Time $=$ $5$ minutes
Step-2 Finding the total energy consumed
Energy of bulb $= P o w e r \times T i m e$
$= 100 \times 5 \times 60$
$= 30000 J$
Energy of fan $= P o w e r \times T i m e$
$= 60 \times 5 \times 60$
$= 18000 J$
Total energy $=$ Energy of bulb $+$ Energy of fan
$= 30000 + 18000$
$= 48000 J$
SI unit of electrical energy is Joule.
Hence, the energy of the bulb is $30000 J$ , energy of the fan is $18000 J$ and the total energy consumed is $48000 J$ .
