Rearranging the resistances the given circuit will form a circuit(Wheatstone's bridge) as shown in figure.
Let, r1,r2,r3,and r4 are the resistances in all branches, as bridge is balanced no current will flow through branch CD
Hence, equivalent resistance R is given by,
1R=1r1+r2+1r3+r4
1R=112+112=16
R=6Ω
