Calculate the force $F$ required to cause the block of weight $W - 1 = 200 N$ just to slide under the block of weight $W_{2} = 100 N$ . What is the tension in the string $A B$ ? [Coefficient of friction $μ = 0.25$ for all surface in constant].

we have,

formula,

force required,

$F > μ (W_{1} + W_{2}) + μ W_{2}$

$= μ (W_{1} + 2 W_{2})$

$= 0.25 (200 + 2 \times 100)$

$= 100 N$

According to Newton's law, tension will be,

$T = - F = - 100$
