Solution

Dear Student,

6C + 3H2 C6H6 ..(i) Hf=? C6H6 + 152O2 6CO2 + 3H2O ..(ii) H1= 754 kcalC + O2 CO2 ...(iii) H2=94 kcalH2 + 12O2 H2O ...(iv) H3= 68 kcaleq. (i) can be obtained by multipying eq. (iii) by 6 and eq. (iv) by 3 and adding both the equation. eq (ii) is then substracted from sum of eq(iii) and eq(iv) to get eq (i)Therefore, Hf=(6×H2+3×H3) - H1Hf=(6×94+3×68)-754=(564+204)-754=14 kcal
