Question

Calculate the height through which a body of mass 0.5 kg should be lifted if the energy spent for doing so is 1 joule take g=10 m/second square

Open in App
Solution

Given: m = 0.5 kg and g = 10 m s-2.
Using the formula U = mgh, we get:
1.0 = 0.5 X 10 x h
Thus h = 1/5 = 0.2 m, Which is the required height
