Calculate the load, which can be overcome by an ideal machine, when effort = 50 N, effort arm = 1 m and load arm = 10 cm

Effort = 50 N

Effort arm = 1 m

Load arm = 10 cm = 0.10 m

Step 2, Finding load

From the principle of the lever

We know,

Effort×Effortarm=Load×Loadarm

Putting all the values

50N×1m=Load×0.10m

After solving

Load=500N

Hence the load that can be overcome by the machine is 500 N.
