Question

Calculate the mass of water required to make 200gm of 25% solution of glucose.

Open in App
Solution

Given mass of solution (M) = 200g

Concentration of solution = 25%

Since, Mass by Mass percentage of solution = mass of solute(m)mass of solution(M)×100

25 = m200×100

m = 25100×200 = 50gm

Mass of solute = 50gm

Mass of solvent (water) = M - m = 200g - 50g = 150gm
